By far, my favorite stop last week was where we laid our heads each evening .... in a sleepy little village about 30 minutes from Amsterdam named Edam. Upon arrival there; my mind instantly went back to a trip my guy and I took to Martha's Vineyard some 15 years ago..... quiet charm, simple comforts.... a place where one could clear one's head and while away a few hours (or years). The houses were almost miniature boasting doors painted in varying shades of high gloss paint with beautiful script writing announcing the family name and completely unadorned windows allowing you to peak in at candlelight dinners and ledges filled with fresh flowers.... it was as if the entire town was beckoning "come in and stay a while".
I hope I get the chance.
Now this is what I call a Spring Break! So glad we get to follow along on your travel adventures. Looks like you guys are having so much fun.
