Today my sweet Holden Rose turns 9 years old. It seems like yesterday I was toting that little bundle of love around with me on my hip; smothering her chubby neck and wrists with kisses and joyfully watching her sleep in "june-bug" position in her crib. Now she has grown into a laid-back, inquisitive, kind-hearted and.... sometimes mischievous little girl. :) Her eyes sparkle when she giggles. She gives a hug like she means it. She can hang with the boys no problem (and has the bruises to prove it). She loves God, Star Wars, the Rainbow Loom and strawberries. We'll celebrate over a dinner of chocolate chip pancakes (and cupcakes) tonight. When she blows out her candle; I'll be offering up a prayer that it comes true. And when I tuck her in tonight; I'll say a prayer of thanksgiving for letting her be mine....
