Yoo Hoo!  Is anyone there? (Oh, hi mom!)  

Sorry I've been MIA for a quarter of a year… but, as it turns out, life away from this computer is pretty alright. :)  That said, however, I've missed capturing those little daily inspirations here at House of Marlowe.  So, I'm back…. with a new approach.  ONE thing a day… be it a recipe, photo, pair of shoes, great book, beautiful room…. you get the idea.   First up; this song and video….

Friday Anthem.....

ofcourse I love pretty things, nice vacations, great clothes, beautiful furniture..... but at the end of the day I'm more country than country club; more Paula Deen than Paula Abdul; more flip flops than high heels; and I definitely prefer my chicken fried :)........

 Here's what my family will be singing in the car this weekend (yes, my kids sing about beer; but trust me, we don't let them drink it!) :)

Music: Florence and the Machine

There's just something about music on Sundays that I love....... perhaps it's my more relaxed "Sunday" state-of-mind that helps me enjoy it more.... prompting me to sing and dance along.  One of my current favorites is this funky chick....... Florence and the Machine.

I recently saw an interview with her on the great TV show CBS Sunday Morning and I was impressed by how simply demure and sweet her personality seems contrasted with her positively electrifying and passionate on-stage persona.  I couldn't help but like her even more.

I dare you to try and not clap while listening to this song. :)
