The press is all abuzz over Aerin Lauder this week as she launches her new lifestyle line aptly called Aerin.  I've long been a fan of her seemingly unaffected and effortless style (and lifestyle); never overly stuffy and always in good taste......

......and I grew to like her even more when this morning I happened upon her down to earth and inspirational website.  Her "brand" is launching with the obvious..... cosmetics..... but I secretly can't wait to see what else she comes up with as she branches out into fashion and home offerings in the future........  odds are I'm going to love them!

Inspiration: Jacqueline Kennedy

I just ordered this book:

because I missed the ABC News special last month that broadcast these conversations taped a mere 4 months after the assassination of her husband and recently released by her daughter, Caroline Kennedy.

I, like millions of other folks around the world, have long admired Mrs. Kennedy as the First Lady, a style icon and respected editor.  But I find myself recently most inspired by her role as a mother.

What an encouragement to us "stay-at-home" moms who may sometimes feel like our accomplishments don't always add up in the eyes of the world.  Here, a woman who had a strong pedigree and the power and influence to do anything she wanted treasured being a mother above all else.  Love that!

Inspiration

A sweet friend of mine introduced me to the blog: Nie Nie Dialogues; where I was immediately moved by the story of this mother who was in a devastating plane crash in 2008 and who has triumphed to become an inspiring example of perseverance, love and courage for others.  She obviously has a good measure of style too as evidenced by this darling video of her family.
