In the interest of full disclosure, I must tell you that I didn't even know Zermatt existed until Ben and Courtney of my guilty pleasure, "The Bachelor", got engaged there a couple of seasons ago. I literally sat mesmerized in front of the TV by the beauty of the location. And while sadly their relationship didn't last...... the awe-inspiring vistas of the Matterhorn certainly didn't disappoint. Gray skies accompanying the first snow fall welcomed our arrival but on the second morning we woke up to gloriously crystal blue skies and the clearest view of the Swiss alps I have yet to see.......
....... making trekking up and down all of those steps and thru the icy streets definitely worth it......
...... put this on your list of places to go......and bring your snow boots.
