Exteriors: "The Ivy League"...

....... I'll blame it on Europe...... this newly developed infatuation with ivy.   I've been so inspired by the abundance of "vertical gardening" I've admired here... in towering privet hedges, vined arches, grape vineyards ......and glorious ivy covered walls

.....reminiscent of times gone by more often than not here in Europe..... but occasionally purposefully planted and trained to create a magical effect as seen on these charming facades......

I literally gasped when I saw the stately ivy in the background of this post from one of my favorite bloggers last week...... 

"old school" appeal for sure.....

    I've pinned some the same homes, admiring their green walls. Love them all. Can't imagine the inspiration you must see every day in Switzerland
