Postcards from...

The day after Christmas we drove over to the ski village of Les Gets, France to spend a few days with friends.  We almost didn't go because the weather was so bad and my guy and I tend to be a little skittsh about having our babies on icy mountain roads with no barriers.  But, alas, we took it slow and after a quiet evening in awoke to the most beautiful morning in the Alps since this.  My girls are still making fun of me for how many times I said "Have you ever seen anything more beautiful?" and "I'm so happy!".  The sight of the sun shining down on thousands of those evergreens covered in fresh snow will be forever emblazoned on my brain....

  2. Beautiful! We have very little snow here, but the temps are very cold. I think the high today is going to be -3. We did get a snow day today to make our Christmas break one day longer!
