Some of you may remember this.... a Swiss tradition of "feting" the cows' descent from the hills for the winter.... Given last year's disastrous (and rather messy) weather; we were lured in by a spectacular morning and the promise of fun at another celebration this year.... in what has become one of our favorite towns....
...it was an impressive display of Swiss culture including music, clogging, food, crafts, and, yes, even fashion as I returned home with a sudden desire to purchase this.....
.... alas we were treated to an amusing procession of bedazzled geese, sheep, goats, St. Bernards, chickens.... and, ofcourse, cows.

... and then, as if on cue..... it poured. :)
