Postcards from...

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you had a great weekend.  We were feeling a little stir-crazy on Saturday, so we took an afternoon excursion to the quaint town of Evian, France...... best known (at least among the non-French) for that little thing called "bottled water"...... and much lesser known for what we attended.... their annual celebration of Carnaval.  I wish I could tell you more about the town but, honestly, it was too cold to roam around or even take my hands out of my pockets to take many photos.  We got there just in time to catch the lively parade; get pelted with tons of confetti and glitter; and enjoy a cup of hot cocoa before heading back to the car for refuge.  (I know I have absolutely no room to complain..... have you checked out the girls' costumes?!)  Regardless, we had a fun time....... it's definitely a "must-do" again in warmer weather to enjoy the lake and check out all of the cute boutiques and restaurants we hastily passed by.  Who else is ready for Spring?

  2. Oh my gosh, what a fun outing. I love seeing how other countries and cultures celebrate. I think as hard and tough as life can be it's always good to revel in celebration.

  3. I can't remember a single time in my life when I wished for warmer weather more. I've got cabin fever, the winter blues, and everything else in between. Ugh! I'm sooo ready!
