The View from Here....

This past week involved immersion in various Swiss winter sports (although we were in the Monts Jura in France for all of them).....
the girls donned their new ski gear and took their first ski lesson (minus Marlowe who decided she was absolutely not keen on putting her skis on.....hence, relegating us to the lodge for cappucinos and playing on the iphone for a couple of hours);
and a field trip with Holden's class for a day of dog-sledding, snowshoeing, sledding; and just plain experiencing the beautiful winter landscape.....
a hot shower afterwards never felt so good.....

Given what we keep hearing, I bet some of you had some cold weather fun this weekend too...
Here's sending you warm wishes for the week ahead! :)

  3. I don't like skis either Marlowe...I would have happily obliged her in the lodge ha. Except I learned my lesson about letting little girls play with my iPhone

  4. Oh my word that looks like a whole bunch of snow! It's been rainy here but luckily not too cold.

  5. Libby hated the ski lessons also. Refused to ski after they were over....so we 'enjoyed' sitting inside also. Luckily, she loves it now!

  6. Crissy - love this post. We are heading to Chamonix for February break - my kids are both snowboarders and are counting the minutes.

    Must hear details about the dog sledding! We came close to dog sledding in Adelboden, but couldn't find the time. It's on our list!
