Fashion: Barbour
Given my love for all things classic, I guess I was bound to fall for the iconic Barbour brand here in Europe. A 5th generation family owned British company, their classic wax jackets are still handsewn and speak of rainy day walks in the countryside with a ruggedly timeless practicality that I've learned to appreciate here in Europe. In fact, this reserved brand might illicit a bit of a yawn at first glance; until you spy something witty like my current favorite...... the women's Union Jack.....

two of the first things my husband ever gave me after we were married....muck boots and a barbour utility jacket. Um, not so romantic...but very functional. Could not live without either item now.
ReplyDeleteA generous friend just gave us her son's barbour coat for our 4 year old. She will be stylish next winter...praise hand-me-downs! We are used to hand-me-downs from Target (and we like those too.)

I reAlly need some barbour in my life. There is a store in Georgetown and I love looking but can't decide on which one I should buy to start my collection.
