A Photo a Day: Week 43
This past week was full of ups and downs....... as all weeks are..... traveling was great; getting sick.... the pits.....
But joy was found.......
Taking long walks with my girls in the vineyards;
Sharing dinner with a ladybug queen/princess;
witnessing the sweetness of the bond between a daughter and her daddy;
and feeling the wind on my face.

What is this life, if full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare?
No time to stand beneath the boughs
And stare as long as sheep or cows.
No time to see, when woods we pass,
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass.
No time to see, in broad daylight,
Streams full of stars, like skies at night.
No time to turn at Beauty’s glance,
And watch her feet, how they can dance.
No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich the smile her eyes began.
A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
That swing is AWESOME! And I love, love, love this poem...just perfect. And I wish you all a huge GET WELL SOON. ((Hugs)) ~Cindi

Usually I loathe poetry (I have no culture) but I love this sweet poem, I love simple words that want you to reflect on the beauty all around us instead of just rushing on by.
ReplyDeleteworking up the adoption papers now....so I can join your family, I promise I won't be much trouble on your adventures. I need some time to just "stand and stare."
ReplyDeleteGreat poem Crissy....
ReplyDeleteUnless you're Italian or South African. The South Africans say Americans always have watches, but never have time!
