A Photo a Day: Week 31
This week found us doing more exploring, meeting new people, braving the roadways, participating in local events and generally trying to adjust to the rhythms of our new city. A few highlights:
Attending our village's celebration of Swiss National Day (like the U.S. 4th of July); where each year it is tradition to gather and eat vegetable soup out of handmade pottery commemorating the village and the year (our first official souvenir); followed by drinking, dancing, a huge bonfire and fireworks..... not so unlike Americans.... these Swiss;
Enjoying one of the favorite Swiss past-times.... ping pong (hallelujah!.... it's a sport I can manage) :);
Marlowe's first ride on a ferris wheel along the banks of Lake Geneva;
getting used to the large amount of graffiti amidst an otherwise spotless city;
relishing the beauty of our surroundings;
and, ofcourse, missing home.
Best wishes for a wonderful Monday!
WHAT A FUN ADVENTURE CRISSY!!!
