- simplicity - the rooms show a significant level of restraint so your eye is drawn to the few choiceful decorations ;
- timelessness - seen now or 20 years from now; the decor will still remain relevant and classic
- natural - if you really pay attention, you'll notice that there are very few "man made" decorations; the real statement makers are from mother nature herself......berries, poinsettias, amaryllis, red roses, carnations and greenery topped with lots of red ribbon;
- a touch of whimsy - the greenery topper on the marble bust, the bells around the reindeer's neck, the staircase votives housed in paper lanterns, and the vintage glass ornaments in planters..... swoon!

Interiors: Decking the Halls......
....... so while millions of other families embark on a shopping extravaganza today for Black Friday; it is my family's tradition to hunker down in comfy clothes with left-overs and hot cocoa in hand to begin decorating our home for Christmas. And, while looking online for a little inspiration, I came upon these amazing photos of Boston designer Greg Van Boven's home. His holiday decorating exemplifies all that I love:
