A few weeks ago, I was picking Marlowe up from pre-school and fell instantly in love with a self-portrait she had painted.... perfectly capturing her 4-year old self-image... big smile, ultra glamorous eyelashes, crazy fingers and all... :)
So, when my cousin suggested I might want to have the artwork made into a doll; this sentimental girl jumped on the idea and commissioned Doodle Softies to make it happen. After only a few e:mail exchanges re: size, preferences, etc; we received a perfect 3-D rendition in the mail...
Upon opening, Marlowe exclaimed... "It's Marlowe!" (the true sign of a job well done)
... my heart swelled.
She sleeps with her every night.
Bringing art to life for kids.... a great idea.
