Postcards from...

Yesterday, we went in search of sun and fun in the village of Leysin, Switzerland.  The girls were keen on going tobogganing at a big park in Leysin which is located at the very opposite point of Lake Geneva from where we live (for those interested in facts.... about an hour drive from end to end... it's a big lake!).  As you can see from the photos, the mountains are in desperate need of some fresh snow.... but the blue skies, warm temps and toboggan runs did not disappoint.

ok, I might have screamed a little on the way down...

These baby runs were too cute...

look to the left of the red flag and you'll see someone flying in the air.... yep, that's part of the fun.

Marlowe and I took advantage of the lounge chairs put out for basking in the sun....brilliant!

my crew all smiles after their last run....

There was a beautiful fondue restaurant inside an igloo on-site for apres-toboganning fondue - but sadly, it was "too stinky" (a la the fondue cheese) for Marlowe's taste... a picnic of chicken nuggets  for us instead.

It was a good day.

  1. Crissy, this looks a tad more fun than Perfect North! I bet the girls had a blast. My boys would be in heaven, minus the fondue.

Marlowe's right - those igloos are cold, and stinky! Tell Ashtyn I like her get up! That ski suit is way cute.
