Holiday Fashion....

Well, it's official..... the calendar is full of holiday parties, dinners with friends, Christmas concerts and a whole host of commitments where my cozy black leggings just won't cut it.  Truth be told, while I love fashion; I do not like spending a lot of time or money on "special" things to wear for one event.   Instead I rely on wardrobe basics with a surprise or two thrown in to get by.  Here are some looks you'll catch me wearing this holiday season....

My husband's work party last night..... classic white oxford, black pencil skirt, lots of pearls and red heels for a dash of festivity.....

Heaven knows, I have enough plaid in my closet..... I'll pair one of these oxfords with a midi-black skirt, simple gold jewelry, classic black pumps,a clutch and an at-home manicure in my favorite holiday shade...

And, finally, my biggest "go-to" for feeling put together..... all black.  One thing I've observed from watching chic French women is that all black always works.  With some sparkly jewelry, my favorite (and most comfortable) black booties, and a dash of red on my lips.... I never worry about feeling out of place.

Now.... what to do with this ponytail?! :)
