Emporter: To "take away" in French

...ofcourse the French don't celebrate Thanksgiving nor do they offer "take away" very often....

... but, alas, we are heading home for Thanksgiving (cue squeal... my mouth is watering already at the thought of my mom's cornbread dressing and sweet potato casserole)... isn't it funny how we never outgrow simple delights from childhood like holiday traditions and our mother's cooking?

... in fact, these cute boxes might come in handy... perfect for sending guests (like me) home with a slice of pumpkin or pecan pie when they've literally "stuffed" themselves with all those delicious fixins' and can't manage another bite....

oh,  it would be nice to throw in one of these too....

.... you never know when the craving will hit and
...we wouldn't want crumbs in the car... :)

  2. my sister and I still argue over whether the sweet potato casserole should be topped with marshmallows or pecans. Safe travels!
