The "Good Lord willing"....

.... my family will be waking up in our home in the States next Monday morning for a few weeks of all things American.  Dinner conversation has revolved around reminiscing about summers past and imagining what this one holds for days now...  Today I am dreaming about the exhilaration I feel each time we drive over the Tennessee state line heading South to my parents' in Alabama and then onward to the beach.... sweet tea, peach tarts, toes in the sand and all those wonderful Southern colloquialisms spoken with that charming Southern drawl....

I couldn't help but fall in love with this Etsy shop featuring products that'll "Bless your heart" :)

Some of my other personal favorites.....

Calling someone sugah or darlin'
Telling someone "Come here and let me hug your neck"
The descriptor "Cute as a button"
giving directions by saying "you know.... the Wal-Mart 'over yonder'"
telling those impatient kids to "just hold your horses"
and, perhaps the most relevant to marking your territory and your roots in the South....
Asking someone "who you for?" (meaning what SEC college football team do you support with passion)...

... well, BAMA, ofcourse :)

Happy Monday everyone!
