Postcards from...

Yep..... so the unlikely country of Egypt is where we ended up this week.  If you had asked me 6 months ago if I would ever imagine vacationing at a resort in Egypt; I would have thought you were crazy.... but as it turns out there aren't a lot of warm weather options in this part of the globe this time of year.... and we were game to give it a try (a little thing called easyjet sure makes it, well, easy and affordable).  Unlike what folks normally envision when they picture vacationing in Egypt..... the pyramids, the Sphinx, the Nile...... Sharm el Sheikh is a sleepy tourist destination on the Red Sea (I kept finding myself thinking about Moses).... seemingly in the middle of nowhere... especially known for great scuba diving and snorkeling.  However, given the precarious political situation of late; the most adventurous we got was a camel ride in the desert (I mean, it's a "must" right?)..... and a ride down the resort's water slide (not pretty; but fun).... that beautiful sailboat will have to wait for next time. :)  (fyi.... my mom & dad even thought that was me)

Hope you all are having a great day with your "sweetie"..... be it a lover, child..... or a box of chocolate! :)
