So I've already asked my husband three times who is playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday...... which is a pretty good indicator of how not involved I am in the big game. Unfortunately, what I'm more likely to say when presented with sporting events (that don't involve Alabama football) is this :
Scenario #1:
Chris (husband): "I got us tickets for the Reds game on Saturday. Do you want to go?"
Me:........ "Uh, yeah! Did I hear stadium dogs?"
Scenario #2:
Chris: "You do remember that the Super Bowl is this Sunday, right?"
Me: "Uh, remind me who's playing again? Should I make us a cheese ball?"
Aside from one's birthday and Thanksgiving, sporting events seem like the one time when we are "allowed"; even encouraged to eat what is to put it mildly "less than healthy" junk food. And given the internet, there are more than enough options out there to tempt us. I'm especially partial to these themed game day treats:
pinterest (and healthier than most, I'd say!)
...... and we can all start eating healthy again on Monday!
May your team win (whoever they are)! :)
Yum! Now I'm hungry. Those oreo truffles are dangerous around here!
ReplyDeleteThese are all so cute. And agreed, superbowl is a GREAT excuse to skip a diet day. Bring on the cheese and beer!
ReplyDeleteI like the snippets of conversation...sounds like our house. I only go to sporting events for the food.
ReplyDeleteOkay these are seriously cute ideas. My team didn't make it to the superbowl but I will still be partying for the food...;)
ReplyDeletehow cute on the food ideas...and i love your sports talk with your hubby. my husband unfortunately (or fortunately) got a die-hard football, basketball, baseball, golf, and even some hockey in there fan. so....the Super Bowl was on MY radar for weeks.
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by my blog.... :)
