Interiors: Butterflies

I couldn't believe my eyes when we were driving in Florida a week ago and we kept coming upon these huge swarms of beautiful Monarch butterflies!  My husband speculated that they were migrating for the winter and he was right!  According to Wikipedia:


"Monarchs are especially noted for their lengthy annual migration. In North America they make massive southward migrations starting in August until the first frost. A northward migration takes place in the spring. The monarch is the only butterfly that migrates both north and south as the birds do on a regular basis. But no single individual makes the entire round trip. Female monarchs deposit eggs for the next generation during these migrations."


They are even capable of making Trans-Atlantic crossings!  Amazing!  I've always found butterflies to be a true testament to God's handiwork and, as such, a lovely addition in artwork.
